The life skill group from may to june 2014

Here some Feedback from our participants:

Vuyi:

Hi, my name is Vuyiswa Mthewa, I’m 23 years old and I live in Winterton, KZN, I joined the life skill training group in February 2014. At first, I was a bit confused about the training. I didn’t know what is happening but two weeks later I had a better understanding about the training. I’m so proud to be amongst those who joined the life skill training because I met new people. Most importantly the life skill training helped me a lot because I’m a “varsity drop out” due to having a baby. I was studying a B.A. degree in Psychology and was in my third year. So when I couldn’t go back to Varsity I felt like it’s the end of the world. I felt like I let my parents down and myself as well because of the choices I made. I felt hopeless as if I will never be able to achieve anything in life anymore.
The bright side of the story is that Isibani brought “light” into my life again. I would like to thank Sandra Peters for coming all the way from Germany, she helped me to walk those baby steps towards life again, made me see life from a different perspective. She believed in me and that I can still make it; she showed me that having a baby shouldn’t limit me in achieving things I want to achieve in life. She also inspired me to share the same knowledge I gained from her to the youth of my community who had lost hope. She gave me the opportunity to run a life skill class at Isibani Community Centre and to inspire the youth who came across the same challenges I came across.

So if I can do it! You can too!!!

Thabsile

My Name is Thabsile Zuma. I am 26 years old. I live in Khethani Location together with my parents.
I attended the life skill training at Isibani and it helped me a lot. I have learned different things that I have not known before. I gained more knowledge and I got a certificate.

Now I know what I want to achieve in my life and how to plan for my future. I like to thank all facilitators who where teaching during this training and also Sandra who organized this training for us. May God bless you all.

I have learnt a lot about how to plan my goals in life. Everybody in the training was friendly and open. I didn’t get disappointed at all. I enjoyed being at Isibani a lot and I can imagine coming again for another training which can be offered.

Thank you guys and God bless you! I will miss the time with everyone.

“Snae”

My Name is Nokuthula Ellen Sithole. I am 22 years old and I live in Winterton in Khethani.

The life skill training has done a very good job to me because I have learnt so many things about life. In the training we spoke about different subjects like smart goals, different cultures, worldview, relationships etc… These subjects have changed my life.

I also learnt how to forgive someone and that it is important in life to be able forgive. Everybody has mistakes but we are here to learn from them.

I’d like to thank all my facilitators who where helping me with these subjects, may God bless you and may you continue with this training so others can have the same benefit like I did.

I also like to thank Sandra for inviting me for this training, may she also invite others in order for them to get the knowledge and learn how to make the right choices in life.
